Chopper Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Popular California Shoreline
A chopper soaring near a popular coastal coastline unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm groves as spectators watched.
Videos posted on the internet depict the chopper starting to spin near Huntington Beach then plunging near the border of the shore, where it becomes wedged among palms and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Information
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were transported to a medical facility including two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the accident on Saturday.
Three people on the street were hurt. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
