A Pair of Suspects Accused for Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) stand indicted for homicide and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
